Top 10 Holland Area Activities This Holiday Season

As the temperatures drop and twinkle lights start lining rooftops, we see these as signs to break out the gloves and parkas, and that holiday season is approaching! 1. Kersmarkt

During the holiday season, Holland puts on a beautiful and fun holiday market called Kerstmarkt. Need a unique gift or holiday decorations for your home? 2. Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

The Frederik Meijer Gardens is a year-round must see,

but this time of year, they also put on a “Christmas and Holidays Around the World” exhibition, where they display and honor different cultures and their celebration of Christmas and other holidays! 3. Muskegon Winter Sports Complex

Head north to visit the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex! This is a haven for winter sports lovers & adrenaline junkies alike, complete with an Olympic-designed luge track (1 of 3 in the US!), cross-country skiing trails, snowshoe trails, three ice skating rinks, sledding hill, and heated lodge for rentals, food, and warmth! 4. Saugatuck Dunes State Park & Mt. Baldhead

Looking for some quality outdoor time? Visit Saugatuck Dunes State Park to try their awesome cross-country skiing trails, or head a little further south to try climbing all 300 stairs at Mt. Baldhead!

5. Nature Walks

For warmer, snow-less days, bundle up and talk a walk along the wooded streets surrounding The Villas! Stu Visser Trails is great for a leisurely stroll or to change up your dog-walking path. 9. Sinterklaas Eve

True to Holland’s Dutch heritage, locals and visitors alike gather downtown for the annual Sinterklaas Eve Parade. Watch or join St. Nicholas as he leads the procession on his horse, while Zwarte Piets hand out candy to parade-goers! Meet him for hot chocolate and cookies afterward at the Holland museum- a perfect photo op for kids and adults alike.

10. Visit the Community Clubhouse

Don’t forget the fun right here at home! Whether you need some extra space for family dinner or an impromptu board-game marathon, the clubhouse community room is perfect for any occasion! Homeowners can reserve the community room for a private event, and it is also always available for drop-in use.
